Copenhagen Island Hotel

This project was about building a brand new bright, friendly and welcoming hotel at the new water line in the harbor of Copenhagen.  Large open rooms with large glass facades, made great demands on the acoustics of the hotel.

The selected solution was Gyptone ceilings and Gyptone acoustic wall behind the reception and all the way through the building. In the restaurant the facades facing the water are also covered with glass and steel, and here Gyptone ceilings and acoustic walls was selected inside.

The entire project has been about 45,000 sqm of Gyproc plasterboard with some 2,500 sqm Gyptone acoustic ceilings.

The Gyptone products used are Gyptone BIG Quattro 42 and Special 47 and Gyptone Point to passages. Gyptone ceiling tiles has been fitted with edge D1, Edge B and Edge A in different places in the hotel.
