National Library in Belgrade

Architect: Zoran Radojicic

The basic aim when reconstructing the National Library of Serbia, was to create spatial structure reflecting the path of knowledge.

With specially created wooden furniture, seating capacity increased from 400 to 600 seats. Spaces were reduced, modernized and made more functional, which increased the overall surface space by 40%.

It was a challenge to perform work within such a facility due to its cultural monument status.

6 500 m² of a complex ceiling construction, installed at great heights, required particular focus.
