They sought to break up the large surface areas and in order to prevent amplified sound reflecting they needed to redirect sound to the centre of the auditorium. This was achieved by the innovative use of Gyproc products in a non-standard fashion to create an an angled wall lining system which was both acoustically functioning and aesthetically pleasing.
In the foyer areas the concern was the absorption of extraneous sound and maintaining low reverberation. This was achieved by use of Rigitone 8-18 ceiling boards.
